Pärnu is also a good starting point for excursions to the Estonian capital Tallinn or to neighbouring Latvia with its capital Riga.
A tour to central Estonia or to the eastern areas towards the Russian border, as well as to the area of Lake Peipus are always worthwhile due to the magnificent countryside and the mostly open and hospitable people.
